Carpal tunnel and pain shooting up to my elbow?

I work at Cargil...where we slaughter cows and do the meat. Well I work with a knife and every morning I wake up and my fingertips tingle. Then when i get to work and start to use my knife, my whole hand will go completely numb so that i have to shake it just to get feeling back. A couple days ago, the pain started shooting up the back of my arm to my elbow. Its at the point where i cant even sleep at night because my hand is numb and my elbow is killing me! AND im almost 5 months pregnant. What can i do and what exactly is it?
