How to make friends in high school?

I move a lot, probably every 2 years. This has been going on ever since way back when I was in preschool. I've never really had any close friends and it was always hard for me to make friends. I figured that I was going to go to the high school that all the friends I made were going to. I've never moved out of the district until now. I'm going to be a freshman next year and It's a new district which means I will know absolutely nobody there. I'm good at getting a conversation started but I never know how to keep it going. I also want to make guy friends because I've only had 1 and that's only because he was my brother's friend. Other than that, I would have to say, talking to guys is like major for me because I never know what to say.
