Yes, If you do not change what you are doing that caused the carpal tunnel then it can. The problem with Carpal Tunnel is that most people who have carpal tunnel are not diagnosed by the time that the disease has become chronic and you are in so much pain. Often times they go back to the same job and no modification are made in their work environment. So yes, it can come back. You don't need surgery but it is would be a up hill to fight the disease.
