How many hours should I practice guitar a day?

i've been playing guitar for a week now and i have already played solo for my church. i was wondering how many hours should i practice a day to get good at playing guitar. currently i practice 2 hours a day. i would like to practice more but i've heard of some people getting carpal tunnel for practice 6-8 hours a day? i was wonder what is a good amount to pracice?
