I have a lump on my elbow slightly larger than a pea. comes & goes. also have carpal tun in same hand.?

No redness or swelling. just a lump that is very visible and feels right on bone. has come and gone several times in recent months. I have severe carpal tunnel in that hand and moderate in other. surgery is scheduled for later in summer. is this in any way related to carpal tunnel and is there anything else it may be?
