Wrist and pinky finger pain?

About 2 days ago my wrist started hurting when i moved it in a certain way, the pain is on the side of my wrist (the side where my thumb is) and also goes up into my palm. Then today i noticed the fact that my pinky finger keeps locking up, and i can't keep it straight. It doesn't hurt but its weird cause i can't keep it straight up and when i try to straighten it, it's hard and it feels like it is locked or something. I don't really know how to explain it but i have no idea what to call it. My mom said it might be carpal tunnel but i don't have pain in my thumb and fingers, just the fact my pinky wont straighten.
