Is the pain in the center of my hand a symptom of CTS(Carpal Tunnel Syndrome)?

I've had carpal tunnel surgery in both hands. I didn't have a symptom like that. Mine started as numbness and tingling. I'd have to rub my hand, and shake it to get the feeling back. After a while it got really bad, and I'd wake up in the night and have to get up to try and get the feeling back. Carpal tunnel is caused by repetitive motion. The motion can be keyboarding, but also any other type of activity where you're doing the same motion over and over. If you only get the pain once in a while, it may not be carpal tunnel. You might want to get your doctor to check it out. He can always order a nerve conduction test to see if there's a problem with the nerve in your hand.
